How are the cookies packaged? 

All decorated sugar cookies come individually packaged in a heat-sealed cellophane bag with an ingredient label on the backside. Individual gift boxes or bows is an additional charge.

When should I place my custom order?

As early as possible! Orders with a turn around time of less than 14 days are subject to a 25% rush fee. Orders with a turn around time of less than 7 days require a 25% rush fee. Fill out an inquiry form as soon as you know the date of your event or celebration to make sure you get on Michaela's Cookies calendar.  

 

*Reminder: Custom decorated cookies take many hours to design, bake, decorate, photograph and package! Michaela may not always be able to accommodate last minute orders.*

​​How many designs do I get for my custom order? 

For 1 dozen, we typically do 4 designs. For 2 dozen, we typically do 6 designs.

How do I pay for my custom order? 

Apple pay, cash, check, credit/debit, GooglePay, PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle

Do you make allergy-friendly, gluten-free, dairy-free or vegan cookies? 

No. Michaela's Cookies operates under the Indiana Cottage Food Laws and bakes out of their home therefore cannot accommodate any allergies. Michaela's Cookies cannot guarantee products are free of any cross-contact with allergens. ​​

How many cookies should I order for my event? 

It depends on what other sweet treats you will be having. A general rule of thumb is 1-2 regular size or 2-3 mini size cookies per guest.

How do I decorate and store my DIY kit? 

Your cookie kit will come with instructions on how to decorate and store you kit. Want your kit to last longer? Throw it in the freezer and take out 30 mins before you want to unleash your creativity!​​​​​​​​​

Cottage Food Laws

Michaela's Cookies operates under the Indiana Cottage Food Laws. All products are made in a home kitchen. These products are home produced and processed and the production area has not been inspected by the State Department of Health. Michaela’s Cookies is ServSafe Food Handler certified. For a copy of this certificate, contact michaelascookies1@gmail.com. The client, and any individuals they give product to, is taking an inherent risk of choking hazards, food illnesses, and allergic reactions. All individually wrapped sugar cookies and products will be individually labeled with the ingredients they contain.
